Reality Check

CVFC is the home of Realty Check of Clinton, Essex and Franklin Counties. Reality Check is a youth-led anti-tobacco industry movement made up of 13 to 18 year olds throughout New York State. Realty Check aims to expose the tricks, lies, and manipulations that the tobacco industry uses to reach their next customers – teens. If Realty Check can save one youth from falling prey to the lies about tobacco … then, it has been successful.

Advocacy in Action

CVFC houses the Advocacy in Action grant. The Colleges for Change Program covers Clinton County and focuses on the 18-24 year old student population. Students on and off campus take action to make positive changes and limit where tobacco products are promoted, advertised and sold, and to advance local and statewide policy advocacy approach to creating communities that support and reinforce tobacco-free norms.
