All Ways to Recovery Community Center

 

Champlain Valley Family Center's community center is a stigma free, safe setting that is not only for individuals, but their families and the community. All Ways to Recovery is a centralized location to provide education and guidance on: accessing health care coverage, advocacy services, connection to treatment services, local health care providers, self-help programs, education and/or employment, and developing healthy leisure skills.

The facility is located at 14 Dormitory Drive (the former site of CCC Dining Hall).

Mission & Vision

The center's mission is to help individuals and families find, maintain, and strengthen recovery through peer-based support, connection to the recovery community, and increased recovery capital.

All Ways to Recovery envisions a community where recovery from addiction is destigmatized, accepted, and appreciated and where all who seek it have access to the resources and support needed to achieve long-term recovery.

Daily assistance with education and employment application is available. The center has  computers available for public use.

DENIS KING, CASAC, CARC, CRPA, RCP

Director of Peer Engagement and Recovery Services

Denis King obtained his Associates degree from Johnson and Wales University and has been working at CVFC since 2013.  Since his employment, Denis has earned his Certified Addiction Recovery Coach (CARC), Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA), and Credential Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor-Trainee (CASAC-T). Denis is a trainer for Peer Engagement and Recovery Services in the areas of: Recovery Coach Academy, Ethics in Recovery Coaching, Recovery Coaching in the E.D., SOAR, Peer Supervision, Recovery Basics for Parents, and Professionalism and Recovery Coaching. Denis supervises the Peer Engagement and Recovery Services available through CVFC.
