Recovery Campus

Champlain Valley Family Center’s Recovery Campus (CVFC-RC) provides Stabilization and Rehabilitation services in a Residential setting in Schuyler Falls, NY. This is an Office of Alcohol and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) certified program. The facility has 16 beds to serve men and women, age 18 and older, who have an identified substance use disorder and are in need of a more intensive level of care. It is a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week program with full time medical and clinical staff supervision.  To make a referral to the CVFC Recovery Campus call (518) 643-0148.   • Psychiatric Evaluation and Medication Management

  • Comprehensive Discharge Planning

These individuals can be referred from outpatient treatment programs, hospitals, legal entities, family members, themselves, or other community agencies.

Champlain Valley Family Center's community center is a stigma free, safe setting that is not only for individuals, but their families and the community. All Ways to Recovery is a centralized location to provide education and guidance on: accessing health care coverage, advocacy services, connection to treatment services, local health care providers, self-help programs, education and/or employment, and developing healthy leisure skills.

The community center is located at 14 Dormitory Drive (former site of the CCC Dining Hall).

Ronald "Buster" Garrow

Program Director

Jacob has worked in the addictions field since 2012 and began his employment at CVFC in 2013. He earned his Associates in Applied Science, with a concentration in Chemical Dependency Counseling from North Country Community college. He moved on to SUNY Plattsburgh and Empire State College and earned his Bachelors in Psychology with a concentration in Human Development and is a Certified Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC). He was senior counselor from May of 2016 to March of 2018 at which time he became Clinic Director of Outpatient services. In 2017, Northern Tier Providers Coalition presented Jacob with the “Above and Beyond” award for exceeding the highest standards. Jacob has been a member of Clinton County Family Treatment court since 2015. He has represented CVFC in various community events, including talking about current substance use trends, family education, reversing the stigma and access to treatment for substance use disorders.

Jared Croy, AAS, CASAC

Clinical Supervisor
